1st Segment: INTRODUCTION
Q1: Can you please introduce yourself and your background, also introduce the team working on Defina?
ANS: Hi everyone! I am Juli, the marketing VP from Defina. My role in Defina mainly consists of planning weekly events, establishing marketing strategies and moderating our social media accounts, and also I do AMAs to help users better understand the game and integrate into the community.
Defina Finance is a fascinating blockchain game that combines the concept of DeFi and NFT. Players are able to buy or collect various NFT Mystery Boxes to get heroes & weapons as well as fight and enhance their champions to learn skills in numerous game scenarios. Players can participate in DeFi yield farming and earn abundant on-chain earnings while enjoying a fun and strategic card game with PVP and PVE modes.
Regarding the Defina team, our team is from all over the world. They were formally established in April. The company is headquartered in Ireland, and employees come from Ireland, Germany, the United States, Canada, Pakistan, and some regions in Asia. It is a very diverse and interesting team.
Q2: Can you introduce Defina, what critical problems does it solve that existing solutions are not solving and what's the competitive advantage?
ANS: Our team took note of various successful use-cases of blockchain games and how their Play-to-Earn model enabled these games to be a source of income for individuals who lost their jobs due to COVID.
Unlike traditional gaming, which only provides entertainment and escapism to players, blockchain-based gaming provides entertainment, escapism, and a true ownership economic model to gamers. This opens doors for developers to create games where players can actively earn an income by playing their games.
We believe blockchain games and the Play-to-Earn model is the future of gaming and will be the earliest example of WEB 3.0, which will empower gamers to transform from consumers to ecosystem participants.
Here are some points that makes Defina unique:
- The IP design of the project is very beautiful with outstanding graphics and art.
- Defina's development team members are all from the traditional game industry. The game design and gameplay are well throughout and professional, and the game can be played on different platforms, including PC, windows, ios and Android.Comparing to other blockchain games, Defina’s design, art and professionalism far exceeds most games currently on the market. The team focuses on making the game not just play-to-earn but also fun to play.
- The development of our project is very stable. The team has been steadily guiding the community to participate in reward tasks in the Discord community. In the game mechanism design and other programs, it can be seen that the original intention of the above activities is based on the perspective of serving the community, and is committed to creating a project with the community, for the community.

Q3: Can you briefly describe the top milestones you have achieved and your target milestones with timelines, also share your roadmap?
ANS: We can proudly say that Defina has achieved so much in little time. We have a very lively and supportive community and they helped co-create many aspects of the game and we will continue to do so for future updates. We formed meaningful strategic partnerships. We completed our 1st beta test with our community. We sold out on our Defina Genesis NFT in 28 seconds! And much more, we would like you to join us when we reach future milestones ⭐️

There are multiple uses for $FINA and it plays a very important role in both the gaming and community governance and we can’t wait for you to be part of it!
$FINA, the in-game currency and driving force of Defina's game economy, is a BEP-20 utility and governance token. All in-game actions, marketplace purchases and rewards, utilize, and are paid out in $FINA.
Along with yield farming and staking opportunities, $FINA will be required to purchase in-game items and invoke actions like hero upgrades, rebirths and purchasing more battle opportunities, etc.
Governance:
The Defina team is planning on adopting a governance system, which will allow $FINA token holders to participate in the future direction and decision-making within the Defina ecosystem through DAO voting.
We will first list our tokens using DEX, pancake. And we have bitmart, okex and a few exchanges invested in us. So we will work with them and see if the project could get listed on their exchange platform as we further develop the project.

Q1: Hi! 🎮, Official Game Launch of Defina will be on Q4 2021. Will you provide a Beta or Testnet until that time so people can already have a look and give some feedbacks about the Defina Game?

ANS: We will be having our 2nd closed beta test before the game officially launches, which is around the end of October. We will be receiving bug reports and suggestions from our community in our Discord beta test channel to ensure that each member can be seen and heard. Q2: In your recent interview session, you said that we will be the "owner" of the game as we invested in it, what exactly do you mean by us becoming the "owner" of the game? Your IPs are very unique and attractive, will you be offering real merchant items? If yes, How can we get them?

ANS: Since Defina is adopting a decentralized model, we make sure each and every member of the community is heard. For example, we released our beta game a few weeks ago and we had a rewards system for each bug and suggestion and had a Discord channel to let beta testers review and bring suggestions to improve the game. All of these suggestions were brought back to the development team and are reviewed and implemented in the games’ official release in mid October.
A second example, the game’s backstory as well as each characters’ backstory are all written by our community members and supporters. We made sure that everyone could partake in the selection process and they voted for their favourite stories to appear in the game! We will be hosting a 2nd closed beta test before the official launch so stay tuned for that!
We believe a well balanced high quality game that values community's inputs and suggestions will make the project survive. At the end of the day, players are the key to a sustainable ecosystem. Without them, a game will not be successful. What we will do is to make sure the game is fun and interesting so it will attract the players to actually play the game, love and support the game while enjoying the benefits of investing in a game that they like.
Other than that, as players, you will be able to own your heroes and make the best out of it with the play to earn model.
Besides that, we are planning to offer merchants, such as cards, hoodies and toys that use our IPs. We have a lot of community members interested in it since our IPs are very unique and attractive. They told us it would be great if they could own not just the NFT but a real merchant item. Thus, we will not only focus on building the crypto world game but also expanding our game and brand into the non-crypto world.

Q4: 🐳About Defina Finance Beta Bounty Hunters. CAn you tell us about the improvements from the list of Bounty Hunters and Suggestions Providers? Would you say Defina is more secure now?

ANS: Yes, we made sure all suggestions and bugs were reported to the development team, we improved gameplay, interface and making the game overall a bit more user friendly. In terms of security, we will have several auditing firms to audit our smart contracts. As of now, Turstlook is doing our first audit, it’s an audit company from Silicon Valley. After the first audit, we will find two more auditing firms, Knownsec and Certik.
Q5: Currently, define this based on the BSC network right? Could you tell us why you have chosen to rely on this network and not on others like Ethereum where are the games with the highest interoperability and fast transactions between chains? What benefits does BSC offer Defina?

ANS: We choose BSC because the gas fee is much lower compares to Ethereum. This will allow more players to try out the game with less costs
Q6: How will you manage the prices of the different NFT assets in the game, i.e. what happens if the $FINA price goes really high, will the NFTs go up?

ANS: The price will be determined by the market supply and demand.
Q7: How, or through which big partnerships do you plan on utilising to pass your product onto the normal, especially non-crypto people? What's the most ambitious goal of your project? What is the ultimate vision of Your project?

ANS: Defina’s vision is to bring blockchain to millions of players, allowing them to explore a new form of gaming through blockchain technology. We want to introduce the whole new concept of gaming to both traditional players and investors.
For traditional non-crypto people, we will first target them through Defina’s previous traditional game community (Harbingers). We will give out on boarding guides, tutorials and an NFT airdrops to help our traditional players to try blockchain technology and blockchain tech supported games. We also hope to reach people through their favorite content creators (Twitch streamers and Youtube Game streamers) that are from the non-crypto gaming space and let them use Defina as an introduction to the crypto world.
