The KELVPN PROJECT team was represented by @Constantin_papizh who judiciously shared with us detailed knowledge and information about KELVPN PROJECT.
1st Segment: INTRODUCTION
Q1: Can you please introduce yourself and your background, also introduce the team working on KelVPN?
ANS: I come from southlands of Russia. Taken an MS degree in Computer Science, I was into R&D and software development in engineering branches, s.a UAV systems, numerical modelling and applied maths. The persisting institutional crisis and growing discredit of banking sector in my local area, in contrast to the dramatic advance of cryptoindustry and De-Fi worldwide manifestation, engaged me into the crypto field. At 2018 I came into Demlabs and then science 2019 I worked upon basis of the KelVPN service.
Rest the team was also working in Demlabs with other VPN projects and Cellframe but then the company was split. Now we're independent team.
Q2: How many members are in the team altogether?
ANS: 3 developers 2 QA one CTO one CEO.

Q3: Can you introduce KelVPN, what critical problems does it solve that existing solutions are not solving and what's the competitive advantage?
ANS: KELVPN is kind of d-VPN (decentralized VPN) with high security level, good performance and based on Cellframe blockchain. Right now its working based on testnet but the service itself is ready in public production.
Main problems thats we're solving:
- Protection from quantum calculations
- Central database hacks
- Low performance
- High latency
- DPI-based internet limitations.
Q4: The VPN will have server from different countries just like the other VPNs?
Sorry, KelVPN uses nodes right?
ANS: Yes, they are. KelVPN is already in production, ever its blockchain part is still in testnet.
Yes, it uses Cellframe Node software with our own network 'kelvin-testnet'. Its smth like private shard in Polka.
Q5: Can you briefly describe the top milestones you have achieved and your target milestones with timelines, also share your roadmap?
ANS: Our main achievement was the production release. Anybody now can download it, pay some and use it without registration, passwords, emails and etc.
Soon we want to release some software updates, then start to test stake delegation in our testnet. Next we want to release iOS version and update MacOS version a lot.
Then the next few months should be encryption updates, possible multi-hop mode, then at summer is planned cellchain auction. Thats the short brief.
Q6: Can you briefly describe your PARTNERSHIPS so far?
ANS: Our general partnership is with Cellframe and Demlabs.
Its the first Cellframe auction and both projects appears from Demlabs company. I was working on Cellframe SDK on early stages but then switched on KelVPN and science 2018 im deep in it. With Cellframe team we have good relations, they support us with d-VPN service intergration. Also Demlabs still develop enterprise VPN solutions so we collaborate in this.
Another partnerships we'll announce later, stay tuned.
Q7: Can you give an insight into the partnership relationship between KELVPN and CELLFRAME?
ANS: We were working together on Cellframe that was based on VPN technologies so we already used them. So it was on cover - to take back VPN abilities and mix with new blockchain advantages. The rest information I just shared above about our relations, we have common roots and working in same ecosystem now.
Q8: Can you give an overview of your Tokenomics, and the UTILITY of the $KEL Token?
ANS: $KEL tokens are necessary to fully integrate KelVPN into the Cellframe ecosystem. The tokens will also be rewarded to node runners to incentivize increased decentralization and network stability. Possible more usages like staking in Ethereum network, stay tuned.
After the integration it will be swaped into the Cellframe native token KEL. KEL could be used not only to purchase VPN. It also will be used for staking. Staking required if you want to provide VPN service and earn on this. You can stake and provide. Or delegate your stake to smbd who want to provide the service.
Also this token could be used for savings, as any crypto currency, for trading on Cellframe Core Network, for governance, PoS based emission. Possible other usecases.
2nd Segment: LIVE Questions
Q1: I believe that the internet connection speed of a user is dependent on his ISP but you stated that "the Advanced routing algorithm can make your Internet connection even faster" does this mean that regardless of the strength of the ISP, my internet connection will still be fast when connected to KELVPN?
ANS: Last mile troubles we can't solve. But if there is the faster route we'll find it, because nodes guarantee their bandwith when a user pays. We can't be faster then your ISP but for some sites and locations we could improve your connection.
Q2: From where i can download KELVPN? And is it available in both mobile and pc? Android and iOS?
ANS: From our site https://kelvpn.com its available for Windows, Linux, MacOS and Android. iOS version is planned to be next month as well as MacOS M1 version.
There are also plans to make hardware client, smth like KelVPN Router.
Q3: You guies claiming that KELVPN will keep safe our data. Many big companies also said it to us like FACEBOOK. But now we know our data is never safe. So how can you ensure us that our data will safe by KELVPN?
ANS: We have no central database with private information. You ever don't enter your login and password on our side. If you pay with crypto you just pay, then receive serial number and use it. Thats all, everything is anonymous.
Then we split authorization and authentication. Authorization is passed on our site with client's digital signature , then its fingerprint we put in the blockchain with some escrow.
After that any community masternode accepts this fingerprint as authentication token. Master node know nothing else except this fingerprint, so nothing to leak, nothing to deanon by design.
Q4: How is KELVPN different from other current VPN services?
ANS: Short brief: we're almost the same easy as free VPN, easier than most of non-free VPNs and without their security and performance troubles.
Q5: I've seen VPN services that offer banking protection for their users to be free to use credit cards and make transactions without any fear, but even so it's risky to trust this task to any service, does KelVPN offer a protection like that? How can we be sure our private bank data is 100% safe?
ANS: No. We have no such ability for now but when we'll over with integration with Cellframe Dashboard such ability will be. But only with KEL tokens, because only Cellframe-based token could give transaparent and secure escrow payment mechanism, built in Cellframe blockchain.
