1st Segment: INTRODUCTION
Q1: Can you please introduce yourself and your background, also introduce the team working on KUROBI?
ANS: Hi everyone, I lead the engineering team at Kurobi, coming from a background in building WebRTC and real time apps with more than 10 years industry experience.
We have 5 core members on the team, and growing rapidly.
Q2: Can you introduce KUROBI, what critical problems does it solve that existing solutions are not solving and what's the competitive advantage?
ANS: We are spending more time indoors at home due to the COVID 19 pandemic. With less movement, we are looking for new ways to connect and earn an income which is why we built a tool to make this happen as easy and simple as possible. We believe we can empower you with this tool to offer your time, skill, mentorship, tutorship, counselling etc to others while making some money in return.
Kurobi aims to be a video platform that combines 1:1 video call with your audience with payments.
kurobi integrates booking with payments, and handles the call all in one platform without having to rely on external systems like Zoom, google meet and Calendly

Q4: Can you briefly describe your PARTNERSHIPS so far?
ANS: We have partnered with crypto.com to bring crypto payments to our users. Our users will be able to pay with CRO, BTC, ETH, USDC and other DEFI tokens in order to book a call. In addition to our KURO token integration.
Also we are using stripe.com to bring FIAT payment to non crypto users.
Q5: Can you give an overview of your Tokenomics, and the UTILITY of the $KURO Token?

2nd Segment: LIVE Questions
Q1: In Africa where I come from, the cost of data subscription is a bit higher and this make people to watch the way they make video calls because of the affordability issue. How cheap is it to make video call with Kurobi? Do you factor in the poor and not so well to do users when building the app?
ANS: Yes, the good thing about KUROBI is that we leverage the lates video codec to reduce the amount of data consumption. we are currently experimenting with using the latest AV1 codec which has the potential of reducing your average data cost by half when you make a video call. In addition to this, we constantly monitor your connectivity and can adaptively switch to lower resolution to cater for poor network connectivity.
Q2: I was reading through the privacy agreement, why do you think it's necessary to collect the host and users information such as
-valid email address
-date of birth
-full name and
-country of residence?
ANS: Yes we do this to comply with KYC requirements and also to be able to verify users on the platform, thereby reducing or eliminating SPAM.
Q3: It strikes me that Kurobi is made for video conferencing, it is a solution for everyone due to this pandemic. Today there are already platforms that take care of this such as zoom, google Meets, etc. Can you tell us how Kurobi will outperform other platforms and what advantages does it have over them? Why should we go for a video conferencing app with cryptocurrency?
ANS: What’s special about Kurobi app is that you could charge a fee if you are professional and have your client over a video call. For example, lawyers, consultants, online instructors, or any type of professionals could book & make an online video call with their own client, and as the client login to your meeting room, the payment is processed and the one who initiated the call could get paid. If you are a service provider, it would be simple and easy to charge clients, and this process could be directly done in one platform. That is Kurobi.
Q4: Security system is very important... Because some international meetings is very important for people....so can you please tell me about Kurobi security system?and how it works?
ANS: Kurobi connects you 1:1 via video using WebRTC. WebRTC has end to end encryption for this particular use case. This means that it is secure from the sender to the receiver without eavesdropping. Even we do not have access to your call session.
Q5: Its platform presents a very innovative proposal so that users can learn about the topics that interest them using the knowledge and experience of experts in their fields. How does the platform verify the experts to avoid possible scams? Will you implement a tool in the future so that experts can connect with more users at the same time?
ANS: Very interesting. Firstly, in Q2, we will add the ability for experts to verify their identity, Experts with a verified identity will have a verified badge attached to them. This gives more confidence about the expert. Also in the future, kurobi will add more interesting features of which this is one of them.
Q6: I know Kurobi app is a decentralized video Platform for paid 1:1 video calls. There is lots of platform like IMO, BIGO etc where we can make vedio call free. So why would people use KUROBI? Give me 3 best reason
ANS: Kurobi differentiates its self from these platforms by being an expert focused platform. Also Kurobi allows you to conveniently book a time that works for host and guest. This way you don't have to negotiate meeting times back and forth. A host can use this as a way to make some money and reach out to people from different parts of the world offering valuable time and skill.
