Q1 : Can you please introduce yourself and your background, also introduce the Team working on Seascape
Ans : Hey everyone, I’m David, founder and creative director of the Seascape Network. I’ve been a game developer for the last decade working in studios such as Paradox Interactive, mainly working on historical strategy games. I started getting involved in blockchain in 2016, first as an investor and later as the creator of BLOCKLORDS, which was the first blockchain strategy game. Since then, we’ve received funding and grants from many major blockchain institutions and protocols, and we are ready to take the next step on our journey by developing the Seascape Network, a game platform designed around the Defi and NFT economies!
Greetings all, I’m Nicky. Passionate about games and stepped into the Gaming industry in 2014. Experience at established Chinese game studios such as Yoozoo, Forgame and Moonton. Worked as a project manager of <League of Angels>, which won the 'BEST FACEBOOK GAME' in 2014. It was a huge success and led to a very good market performance. Also worked as a designer and operation team leader on <Liberators>, a WW2 strategy game that also won the 'BEST FACEBOOK GAME' in 2016.
Currently leading development of BLOCKLORDS, an innovative medieval grand strategy blockchain game. And also Co-founder and COO of Seascape Network. Personally I got into crypto because of CryptoKitties. Its success also gives me inspiration about combining the games with blockchain technology, allowing “play and earn” to become the next wave in the industry.
Q2 : Can you introduce the Seascape project, what critical problems does it solve that existing solutions are not solving and what’s the competitive advantage
Ans : Great question. Seascape Network is a game platform designed around the Defi and NFT economies.
Having worked with most top 20 chains out on the market, we can say with confidence that most developer tools for blockchains are painfully inadequate. There is a huge learning curve for any given smart contract protocol, and the developer tools and environments are incredibly hard to set up. This is the main reason why Ethereum is so popular, because other chains are basically impossible to work with.
With Seascape, we plan to change all of that. By releasing a clear and well-documented set of SDKs, we plan to make game developers be able to tokenize their projects in a much clearer and easier way than anything that is currently available. Our past experience releasing games on multiple chains makes us experts in this matter.
Q3: Can you briefly describe the Top milestones you have achieved and your target milestones with timelines, also share your roadmap
Ans : The first step of our launch will be to release the Seascape game platform, which will of course host our core strategy game, BLOCKLORDS, but also 3 brand new DeFi mini-games which will provide great opportunities for our users to earn. This will all be released on the Ethereum mainnet as while transaction fees are high, most of the value is still there for our users to grab.
Following the launch of the Seascape platform, we will begin our transition to Substrate in later 2021. It will begin with a new random number generator developed on Substrate, which will offer a unique decentralized product for other dapp developers in the Polkadot ecosystem. We will also release a host of other games, both developed by our own studio and other partners we have made partnerships with. All projects associated with Seascape will use Crowns as the core token for value transfer.
2nd Segment: TWITTER Questions
Q1 : How will in-game staking be implemented on the Seascape platform and how will it enable Crowns to reward the stakeholders of the game ecosystem?
Ans : All Seascape users will be able to stake a variety of coins and tokens to earn competitive yields. Initially, players will be able to stake LP tokens on our first minigame which will be released in a few weeks. Then, they will be able to stake Crowns in order to reap NFTs. Later still, they’ll be able to stake NFTs themselves for other great rewards. In time, we want to expand staking capabilities to include player-created coins as well. Various ways to stake, borrow, and utilize Crowns and other tokens will be released periodically to players as the ecosystem grows.
Q2 : BLOCKLORDS in the star game of Seascape. You also have a mobile version to be released. How can the users take profits of this game? Will you allow interconectivity to play online with friends?
Ans : We want to make sure we reward BLOCKLORDS users for their continued activity and support. Anybody who has played BLOCKLORDS (play.blocklords.io) before the incentive date will receive a reward proportional to how active they were. We will also hold in-game events as well as through regular gameplay reward players with crypto.
If by interconnectivity, you mean playing with other players, that’s absolutely available. It still counts as early access. But you can use social media to join, and invite or refer friends from social media to join as well. Crypto rewards are deeply embedded within the gameplay. So basically if you continue to play normally, and actively you will be rewarded for your continued participation.

Q3 : You are planning to launch a web browser-based game, and a mobile version. Will this two platforms work on any model of computer and phone, making it accesible for those with less quality devices? or will certain high specifications be necessary?
Ans : Great question. Hardware requirements should be fairly low especially in the beginning, but it depends more on games themselves rather than blockchain interaction. As a general rule of thumb, specs and requirements work the same for traditional games as they do for blockchain games. Our platform will be accessible by web browser and mobile and we want to make sure that all kinds devices should be compatible. We are also preparing some mobile only games that will eventually be ported to browser. Of course, in the future, we might have some heavier, PC-only games, but for now we’re sticking with multi-platform products for the time being.
Q4 : It is clear that connecting the Scape Game Store to Polkadot ecosystem brings the capability to trade cross-chain assets to the gamers. Beyond that, what other reasons made you pick Polkadot?
Ans : Through Polkadot, they can transfer back to Ethereum, for instance, to exchange it for its value in ETH. We will begin our transition to Substrate in 2021. It will begin with a new random number generator developed on Substrate, which will offer a unique decentralized product for other dapp developers in the Polkadot ecosystem. A variety of Polkadot para chains will be used to connect to the viaduct, linking Seascape with the outside world. Once the platform launches on Polkadot, staked tokens will be used to secure parachain slots. The core idea is to always reward our players for their patronage.
Q5 : There are no fees for the transactions made by game developers in the platform, how many game developers can be active simultaneously? Would it lead to a liquidity problem?
Ans : We are extremely hungry for game developers all the time. Contact us by email to find out more.
We will help devs with SDK, and we will come up with solutions to cover their transaction fees (such as through Crowns incentives programs). Stay tuned for specific details for those events.
We have already partnered with a few game dev studios, including Peter & Sons studio (in Armenia), and FlowerBro studios (in China). Our goal is to be something akin to a decentralized Steam, so there's no limit the number of games & devs. And we directly control liquidity at the moment, and the community also provides in decentralized exchanges in Uniswap to get rewards. Right now, we don't foresee any liquidity problems in the future. But should they arise, we'll seek our professional solutions.
3rd Segment: LIVE Questions
Q1 : Actually i am interested with Seascape staking program.How is the
calculation reward from stake? and is there any minimum price to join your stake program?
Ans : Once we launch the token, we will launch an LP token game, in which players can stake LP tokens into our pool. And then later, players can get NFT from games and players can stake them to get further Crowns rewards. This is the main mechanic for the being to get rewards. And before every event, we will announce the size of reward pools and players can calculate what they can earn, depending upon what they stake.
Q2 : As I saw Seascape will allow, users and Game developers to create their own in game coins, like MakerDAO with DAI, So this is gonna possible with the CROWN tokens?
Ans : Player-Created-Coins will be a way for users and game developers to create their own in-game currencies that can then be distributed to players or allies within contained ecosystems. Working in a similar way as MakerDAO and the DAI stablecoin, each PCC will be backed by Crowns, and redeemable at any time, but will also grant community members to freedom to create a coin with their own supply amount that can be used in various purposes.
Q3 : It is very important who the team members who create crypto projects are. Investors are investigating team members. Where can we get information about the background and equipment of your members?
Ans : This is an excellent question. With the number of scam projects out there, it’s natural to feel uneasy about newer projects. You can find information about our team, our background, our rewards, and the processes we go through for auditing our smart contracts, etc, on our website. Q4 : What makes your project special compared to other projects? Can you give some reasons to convince users to choose AND invest in your platform ??
Ans : By taking some of the core concepts of defi and turning them into easy-to-access mini-games, we are aiming to lower the bar of complexity that is linked with most defi system. In this way we want to achieve two things: 1. to make defi mechanics more fun and exciting to existing blockchain users. 2. To draw in a new crowd who isn’t familiar with blockchain tech but maybe used to more traditional mobile or casino games and who wants to earn real rewards with their time spent playing.
Once you unlock the potential to earn while you play, it will draw in a lot of new users who will help spread crypto adoption to previously unimagined heights!
Q5 : What do you think about other projects with NFT concepts, such as Enjin, Decentraland, and Cocos? Does Seascape Network currently have plans to cooperate with other NFT projects?
Ans : Another excellent question. We don’t see any of these groups as our competitors, but rather partners or potential partners. We are currently working with Cocos. We are using their game engine, and we used to collaborate with them and built some things on their chain Cocos-BCS. We would love the opportunity to work with Enjin or Decentraland as well if the opportunity arises. There’s a lot of room for growth in the future.
