The SMARTKEY PROJECT team was represented by @Petercze and, RadekBCC and @Martazarosa who judiciously shared with us detailed knowledge and information about SMARTKEY PROJECT.
1st Segment: INTRODUCTION
Q1: Can you please introduce yourself and your background, also introduce the team working on SMARTKEY?
ANS: Hi! I’m Marta. I have over 10 years of experience in business, marketing and advertising industry in the international digital environment. I was responsible for sales and business strategies in the fastest growing startups in Europe. I have been working in the blockchain related industry for 3 years. Now, as Smartkey CMO, I am focused on building international visibility.
As I said before my name is Radek Krzycki and I'm the COO of SmartKey.
I have over 20 years of experience as a business owner and manager. One of my more noticeable accomplishments as a businessman is creating a blockchain solution for the aviation industry for one of the 5 biggest aviation companies in Europe.
Hi! My name is Peter. I'm responsible for SmartKey project's Asian relations with focus on the Korean Market. I have lived in South Korea for over 6 years and I can fluently communicate in the language. I have experience in interpreting and supporting communication with the investors in companies like Doosan Heavy Industries.
SmartKey is a project that connects the physical world in the form of IoT (Internet of Things) devices with blockchain. That’s why our team consists of specialists in the field of IoT systems development and specialists in the adoption of those systems.
At present we have over 40 developers working on the project.
Our CEO Szymon Fiedorowicz has been a leader in big projects working in industries such as telemetrics, automotive branches as well as Smart Home, Smart City & Smart Grids projects. He is a visionair looking to get us closer to the idea of Smart Cities of the Future.

Q2: Can you introduce SMARTKEY project , what critical problems does it solve that existing solutions are not solving and what's the competitive advantage?
ANS: We are aiming to become something like "Bluetooth". This means that our goal is to create a standard for communication between various blockchain ecosystems and the world of IoT (Internet of Things) physical devices.
For those of you who are not familiar with the idea of IoT devices I will try to explain it a bit more.
IoT devices are sensors and locks that have a connection to the internet.
Our world is filled with various IoT devices, their usability ranges from opening doors and gates, to granting access to cars or managing smart homes. At the moment those devices lack a simple solution that could connect them to the Blockchain. And that is where SmartKey comes into play.
A big problem with blockchain nowadays is the fact that most projects don’t really relate to the physical world. Oracle projects up until now only gathered data and uploaded it to blockchain. Our solution is a second generation Oracle which means that we can give orders and operate real world devices through blockchain.
A big problem with IoT devices is security. Our idea is to decentralize the IoT networks and make a new secure standard for IoT devices communication.
The SmartKey platform is a technical blockchain that communicates with IoT devices creating a bridge to other blockchains such as Ethereum. We are a platform for creating new business models that fit into the Sharing Economy model.

The future of Blockchain is connecting it with the physical world and the ability to pay with crypto tokens for things like hotels, car rentals and apartment rentals (like Airbnb). Our solution will make that happen.
Q3: Can you briefly describe the top milestones you have achieved and your target milestones with timelines, also share your roadmap?
ANS: By the way our project is called SmartKey (SKEY) and we are listed on Kucoin 🙂
On the https://smartkeyplatform.io/products website we present our products and their progress in implementation. All of them are presented in detail and described in our White Paper.
We show, in the form of open communication with the community, the advancement of technological works at various levels:
- Analysis Stage
- MVP Stage
- Beta Stage
- Implementation Test Stage
- Release Stage
Each of the key activities is already in the minimum MVP or Alpha phase.
It's quite unique that our project doesn't just show useless information in our roadmap. We are concentrated on showing when we will launch our products to the public.

All activities will be completed by the end of 2021. In the second quarter, we are waiting for the launch of the main tool, which is CLOUD_CONNECTOR and KEY_MANAGER.
IIQ - publishing the technological documentation of the project on the Github platform along with test applications.
April - entering the Chinese market with targeted marketing activities
IIQ - implementation of our first product, CLOUD_CONNECTOR, in 2 large clouds. New partners who are already testing the solution will make our technology available through dozens of companies that use the clouds. This will be the first implementation.
IIQ - is also the second implementation in 3 countries as part of social tests of the rescue system, which will be a major event increasing the brand value
We will end IIQ with a unique action, i.e. the announcement of the SmartKey - incubator project. That is a project where we intend to distribute one-time support for 10 projects that will create an interesting solution based on SmartKey technology in a global competition.
We are also planning a large implementation of our product that will prove our value and will be something completely new in the world of Blockchain projects.
Q4: Can you give us the applications of SmartKey technology and an example of using Smart NFT?
ANS: sure we are happy to answer that.
Let me give you a few examples. Thanks to SmartKey, we can create new business models or replace the current models with a simpler system.
if you look at this graphic carefully you can understand our idea of SmartKey NFT. Which is time limited access to real world value.
As for examples of places where our system can be used:
Hotels, Airbnb systems, offices by the hour, parking lots, access systems such as those introduced in residential estates.
Our solution can be used to provide access to the above-mentioned places for cleaning, administration, postal and security services.
Another application example is the system of parcel machines with disposable keys. The system makes it possible to create new economic models based on the sharing economy - optimizing resources on the market.
The usability of the system is huge, as demonstrated by our partners with whom we are working on the creation of the SmartKey connector standard.
An example of how technology works:
Let's imagine that we have a hostel or we rent apartments on the Airbnb system. Thanks to our technology, you can make rooms available in the form of Smart NFT, i.e. easily create a smart contract in which you specify the price for the room, access time or other conditions such as user verification by the Oracle system and specify, for example, a pledge for the room (DeFi).
You can then add a Device ID that gives access to a given room and you then will generate a unique, time-limited key in the form of Smart NFT. You can use this key freely, for example give it to a friend, issue it on Airbnb websites or insert it into other smart contracts.
As you can see we are using the NFT in a bit of a different way than simple speculation.

We are not using it only for speculation on the price but for real world use.
I belive it's the future of NFT to connect it to real physical objects like cars or homes.
Q5: Can you briefly describe your PARTNERSHIPS so far?
ANS: Our project is a bit different than most of the blockchain projects today. When most projects are talking about partnerships that don’t really do much other than price speculation we are connecting with real world companies.
Our big achievements are partnerships with Teltonika, a company that is one of the biggest IoT devices manufacturers. At present their devices are all compatible with our solution.
Another big partnership was Ferguson which creates solutions for Smart Homes.
This guarantees that the solution that we are creating will actually be used off-chain. It will be implemented in homes, cars, gates and so on.
We had a very successful implementation of SmartKey in a government supported program in Northern Poland. We use SmartKey to help emergency services to open doors or gates and get faster access to the place of an accident.
A new addition to our Partners is a company WEKTA that will implement our solution in over 3,5 million households in Poland.
We are also paired with Chainlink, which most of you know is another Oracle project.
Other Partnerships are the Ferrum Network and GeoDB.
There are also very big global partnerships coming soon but we can’t really say much without breaking the confidentiality agreement with our partners.
The only thing we can say is that, they will be global partnerships with off-chain companies that will help us with the biggest real world implementation of blockchain technology that the world has ever seen.
2nd Segment: LIVE Questions

ANS: It's a good question. Actually we are afraid that we are too far ahead of other project and people can't understand our technology and it's potential. 🙂
There is minimum of 200 000 000 000 IoT devices. Only around 100K of those devices are now connected to the Blockchain.
In CMC there are only 5 projects that work with Oracle and BoT.
I belive that now you can see our value and the perspective to grow.
You can find on the interent the statistics for IoT devices in Chinese markets. The market is massive.
Q2: How do you plan to spread awareness about your project in different countries where English is not spoken well? Do you have local communities for them to let them better understand about your project?

ANS: We have comunities in various languages.
For example we have a great community in Korea which is a big market for IoT devices and blockchain tech in general.
As you probably noticed Peter is with us today he is responsible for conntact with Asian community and especially Korea.
Also in Aprill we are going to expand into the Chinese market and we will make a community for it as well.
Q3: Investigating their project page in depth shows that they come up with ambitious proposals and are looking for new investors. How will you get the most traditional sectors to invest in Smartkey defi? Because these traditional sectors do not support this type of proposal, either out of fear or mistrust?

ANS: We are working on Oracle network to make the process of integration easy to corporations and traditional businesses. This is one of our products called CLOUD CONNECTOR, which makes the cloud integration with each cloud super easy. The main barrier of blockchain integration is lack of easy connectors, that we are offering. A lot of traditional bussinesses already trusted us. We can have 1000 partnernerships on the paper, which means nothing. However we focus on real partnerships that are followed by implementations.
Q4: You seem to be comparing #ChainLink to #Smartkey, does this mean #ChainLink is a direct competitor to the project?

ANS: For now Chainlink is one of the very few project that we can compare with in the blockchain space. But our vision is a lot different. We are aiming to become a communication standard for the IoT devices. Smething like Bluetooth. This means that we are making a universal solution that anyone can use.
Chainlink is an Oracle that gathers information from the web and saves it to blockchain. We are introducing giving on-chain comands to off-chain devices.
One more thing that can be interesting for you is the fact that at the moment we have one project that we are working on together with Chainlink 🙂.
